Extract Game Files
#1
Hey all,

Since the beta came out, I was wondering if people had plans to make mods for the game, since the game is still using the diesel engine, i would assume most people will know how to structure their mods.

Now, i'm not a modder at all, but I really do want access to the asset folder (since i recently learnt how to extract and convert the payday2's .models to use inside of after effects) and I want to be able to do the same with the Raid game assets.

I was hoping that I could use the PD2BundleModder tool to get the files, but as expected it's not as simple as putting the Raid assets as a replacement.

So if anyone gets around to extracting the Raid assets, I'd be very much interested and thankful for it.

I am not a Spy already have some successes extracting asset out from Raid WW2, and even did a 'mod_override' model replacement in game.

So modding is very much possible, just the tool that we usually use to mod Payday 2, must be updated for Raid WW2 to do so.

That's awesome to hear, I knew it was possible but didn't expect someone to have already done a mod_override in game! (but not surprised it was Spy).

Do you know anything more in way of his progress? I just saw the screenshots on his steam profile so i'm assuming you found out the same way.

Anyway thanks for replying and letting me know. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the models and using them in my video editing.

Maybe I'll buy Raid just to mod it. I really hope to see a mod tool for raid.

There will be mod tool for RAID

But it most likely came from the modding community, as the dev haven't said anything regarding modding other than "we support the modding community.."
Spy already made a rudimentary extractor tool, but I think he won't keep maintaining it.
